A hidden gem in West Wallsend

Courtney and Zac married at the beautifully appointed, newly renovated 1880's Carrington House cottage that provides a stylish option for your micro wedding in a very central location. It’s also the perfect location to stay when wanting to explore the Hunter Region on day trips!

It’s just:
- 33 Mins from Hunter Valley Vineyards restaurants and Cellar Doors
- 30 mins from Newcastle's amazing beaches
- 20mins from the shore of Lake Macquarie
- 36 minutes from Newcastle airport
- 75mins from North Sydney.

Renovator and interior designer, Naomi Findlay, wanted the front of the house to feel feminine and classic, anchored in practicality. The back of the house is all about the feeling of expansion without losing any of the classic charm. Balancing such seemingly contradictory concepts was a key consideration and every single design element had to support it. The colours and patterns write an important new chapter in the story of Carrington House and indeed there aren’t any typos to be seen!

Courtney and Zac contacted us wanting somewhere unique and intimate for their special day, and a location that also provided on-site accomodation for their family. They had 30 of their nearest and dearest join them for what was a truly magical celebration. After the ceremony, Melissa from Left of the Middle Photography, escorted them to nearby Speers Point for their portrait photography session…. and the outcome was just sensational.

Not long after their Newcastle Pop Up Wedding, Courtney and Zac welcomed their fourth member of the family to the world. Their love story is now complete.

The dream team included in their pop up wedding package were:

Planning & coordination: Newcastle Pop Up Weddings

Photography: Left of the Middle Photography

Celebrant: Married Me Mel

Ceremony styling: Newy Event Collective

Floral: Briony & Bloom

Venue: Carrington House, West Wallsend
