Bree Nicholls, Director
Founder and Director of Newcastle Pop Up Weddings, Gold Coast Pop Up Weddings and Brisbane Pop Up Weddings, Bree Nicholls, was born and bread in Newcastle, New South Wales. Many of her family members still reside there.
Bree began her tourism and hospitality career at the tender age of 18 when she took on a job working in a five-star hotel. She became an Authorised Marriage Celebrant in 2011 and is a highly experienced wedding and event manager, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese and a Bachelor of Business, Majoring in Tourism Management. Bree’s passion for wedding and event management has never wavered. She planned and managed her first wedding at the age of 22 and remembers every detail! She has since planned and managed over 600 weddings in her career.
Bree hand picks every one of her team members and local suppliers so you can be absolutely sure your day will include working with the best. Working with Bree and the team at Newcastle Pop Up Weddings will allow you to enjoy your special day without a hitch!
Ben Jones, Marriage Celebrant
Ben has a passion for connecting with people, entertaining a crowd and having a bloody good time! If you love belly laughs, mushy tears and making memories- consider Ben a must have Celebrant for your day!
Ben is a proud Newcastle born and bred local celebrant who loves what he does. Outside of his celebrant role, Ben's a proud Father, Husband and a Foster Carer for at risk youth. In addition, he is a National Trauma Instructor for those working in the child protection field.
Ben's ceremonies and events are fun, engaging and he takes pride in telling YOUR STORY, just the way you envision it. His ideal ceremony will leave your guests walking away thinking, “WOW that was amazing" and not "Let's hurry this part up".

Authorised Marriage Celebrant Mel has a big personality and a big passion for creating ceremonies the way YOU want.
You can consider her your “ceremony curator”, who will handle all the paperwork and build a ceremony that will leave your guests saying “that was so them”. Mel definitely puts the fun into your ceremony with no boring parts, in fact she says she is waging a war on boring weddings!
Mel can also be your Emcee at your follow-on celebration. She will get the party started, be your crowd controller, make announcements, introduces speeches, get the dance floor started whilst keeping the night running to the schedule. You can relax knowing your night is in good hands.

Meg is an Authorised Marriage Celebrant and a General Practitioner with a passion for creating unforgettable wedding ceremonies. With a calm and personable approach, she is dedicated to making each couple’s special day feel truly unique and meaningful.
She says the best part of being a celebrant is getting to do the bit where she announces the couple are officially married—"It’s just the most fun EVER!" This joyful moment is what fuels her love for officiating weddings.
